Paris isn’t just a great transfer hub – it’s a destination with its own magic. A few hours (or even a whole day) here are totally worth it. Gare de Lyon is centrally located, metro connections are easy, and a baguette with café au lait gives off instant French vibes.

06:40 07:41 14:42 Travel time? Just 6 hours and 45 minutes. The TGV glides through the scenic landscapes of southern France – the perfect chance to soak up some early sun through the window or get lost in a good book.

Viva Barcelona

Barcelona is definitely worth more than a quick transfer. The city buzzes with beach energy, tapas bars and stunning architecture. A stroll through the Gothic Quarter or watching the sunset from Bunker del Carmel makes it clear why people fall in love with this place.

Heading south to Andalusia

From Barcelona, there are daily direct trains deep into southern Spain – and they’re super comfortable.

There are 4 direct trains daily to:

Seville (approx. 6 hours) Malaga (approx. 6 hours) And for anyone heading to the city of the Alhambra:

1 train daily to Granada, departure at 06:45, travel time 6 hours and 26 minutes. No worries – smaller cities and coastal spots are well-connected too. Easy transfers are available to:

Huelva (approx. 1h30 from Seville) Cadiz (also approx. 1h30 from Seville) Algeciras (approx. 3 hours from Antequera-Santa Ana AVE) Whether it’s the Atlantic or the Mediterranean calling – Andalusia’s rail network makes it all possible.

Considering everything seen and experienced along the way – from Alpine peaks to sunsets in Seville – it’s a pretty solid deal.
