We’re glad you found us as a train traveler!
We’re truly excited to have you here! Over the past few years, we’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what train travellers really need to make their journeys easier – and we’ve spent years building the platform you are seeing now. With this platform, Traivelling focuses on Europe and its neighboring countries – accessible by trains, buses, and (soon) also ferries. When developing new features, we’ve always followed the needs of the many train travelers who booked and requested trips through our manual rail travel agency that was in operation before Corona. While the platform isn’t perfect yet, it already offers a lot of features:
- Smart planning tools for long-distance travel, thanks to our Gateway Technology
- Price savings through our Interrail price cap
- Intermodality, with many available bus connections (when the train doesn’t go any further)
and bookings (with payment) for trips all across Europe
Train travel...
It gives you time to talk to people heading in the same direction or to finally read that book you’ve been meaning to get to for half a year. You’ll see many cities, countries, and people, and discover food, culture, and new experiences – things you might miss if you were flying. With trains, the journey itself becomes part of the trip.
So much is possible when traveling by train...
From Vienna, for example, you can reach over 20 countries within 24 hours by train. So, it’s not always a time loss to travel by rail – and even if it takes longer, with train travel, the journey is the destination. Train travelers always have stories to tell. If you travel from Vienna to Barcelona by train, you might take one route via Paris and return via Switzerland (through Lyon, Geneva, and Zurich), meeting people from four different countries and watching the scenery of vastly different regions roll by.
Our hope is that this platform brings train travel closer to people – by making booking easier and travel more affordable through the Interrail price cap.
